Hogs for Dogs Charity Ride is an annual event that is sponsored by Dude and Dan's Bar and Grill and benefits the Routt County Humane Society.  The ride begins at Dude and Dan's located at 1106 Lincoln Ave and continues to Hahn's Peak, Hayden, Oak Creek, and then returns to Dude and Dan's where there will be live music.

Speaking of the Routt County Humane Society, here is a great app for you--Wooftrax, "Walk For A Dog." You can earn money for the Routt County Humane Society every time you walk your dog.  Learn more at Wooftrax.com.

In another bit of news, make sure you read our News Blog about Eco-Friendly Steamboat.  Plus, here is a link to an article about the Dog Waste Composting Program that is newly underway in Waterloo, Canada.  And while Steamboat Digs Dogs continues our discussions with our Parks and Rec Commission and our City Council, to bring a dog waste composting program to Steamboat Springs, please continue to spread your enthusiasm for dog waste composting and our campaign to offer compostable dog waste bags, city-wide, at our parks and trails.  The best bag around is by BIOBAGS, available now, at Paws and Claws.

And from The Valley Voice, The Valley Voice now publishes a column for all things dog.  In the issue that hit the stands June 1, The Paw Print brings you, WOLVES IN LOVE a true story about dogs, trails, and more that you won't want to miss.
